Sorry to hear you'll be stuck on the R6 for auto-x. They won't get up to temp anywhere but on a race track.

to an extent yes. but in the long run, if you tune setup around them, you will have to re-do everything when it comes time to get A series Hoosiers or other DOT-R or slicks for auto-x.

help with the class im in please

2005 sti; mods are as follows

OS tune from tank
new turbo (stock tho)
full invidia n1 TBE exhaust(not sure what the hangers of it are, just the ones that come with it i guess)

not sure if tires matter at all but ill be getting new ones in the spring anyways

Probably STU, tires would only matter if you had full slicks or went above 245 tire size (that would push you in to SM?)

your tune likely isn't legal for STU. So you'd actually be in BSP or SM.

Don't worry about what class you fall into or how competitive you will be, just come out and have a good time and worry about that later if you get into it and want to be competitive, then you can consider setting your car up for a specific class.

alright i appreciate the help guys.

i also remembered some other mods:

K&N air intake(was already on car when we bought it so thats why i forgot about it)
New struts(didn't put these on, my pa did so i forgot about them), also i dont know what kind they are as i didnt install them myself

You'll want to look for a SA2010 as in, Snell approved for 2010 (helmet safety ratings go on a 5/10 year cycle). There will be 2005 ones on closeout now but if you plan on using it for any amount of time, it makes more sense to get something that will last.

nope.

You can cheap out and get an M rated helmet, but if you have any plans of going to MAM or MPH (roadcourses around here) you will NEED SA rated.

wondering what class I'm in, not finding where to register for the first event on the NE SCCA website either.

1999 2.5RS

-Kumho all season tires
-stock exhaust to aftermarket muffler
-short ram intake to stock torque box
-20mm wrx rear sway bar.
